Dr. José Alfredo Ruiz Hernández is a urologist and reconstructive urologist specializing in prosthetic and genital reconstructive surgery. He completed his urology residency at the Military University of the Mexican Army and Air Force in 2018, followed by fellowship training in genitourinary reconstruction in India and advanced training in aesthetic and cosmetic genital surgery in Miami and Istanbul. Over the past seven years his practice has focused on prosthetic urology — including penile implants for erectile dysfunction, artificial urinary sphincters, male slings, and penile lengthening and girth procedures — and he serves as a proctor and international speaker for leading penile implant manufacturers including Boston Scientific, Coloplast, and Rigicon. He offers the Himplant® procedure, including combined Himplant® and penile implant surgery, at the Instituto Queretano de Urología in Querétaro, with international patient care also available in Tijuana, Mexico City, and Cancún.
